Man Who ‘Met Jesus’ While In 18-Day Coma Recalls Four-Word Phrase Heard Repeatedly In Heaven

Gabe remembers looking down at his own motionless body and experiencing a moment of terrifying clarity. He says he understood that he was still alive, yet somehow he was no longer inside the body lying beneath him. For him, the experience was not simply a strange dream or a moment of confusion. He describes it as an encounter that felt more real than anything he had previously known, a journey beyond the physical world that completely changed the way he understood life, death, and faith.

According to Gabe, he was drawn into a place he does not describe merely as a destination. He insists that heaven felt like a presence—a living reality rather than simply a location. In that experience, he says he encountered Jesus.

What he remembers most was not a long conversation or a series of spoken explanations. Instead, he describes Jesus as gentle and almost completely wordless, yet somehow communicating with extraordinary clarity. Gabe says the presence he encountered seemed to speak directly to his heart without needing ordinary language.

He describes the sensation as though spears of love were being driven straight into him—not as something violent, but as an overwhelming experience of love so powerful that it seemed impossible to resist or misunderstand. Every emotion, every question, and every uncertainty appeared to become insignificant in the presence of what he believed was Christ.

Around him, Gabe says, the entire creation seemed to participate in the experience.

Trees, mountains, rivers, and waves were no longer simply parts of a landscape. In his account, they appeared to carry a voice of their own, as though all of creation was joining together in one continuous declaration.

The words he remembers hearing were:

“Worthy is the Lamb.”

For Gabe, those four words became one of the defining elements of the experience. They seemed to echo through everything around him, creating the sense that the natural world itself was acknowledging Christ.

He says the experience also gave him a perspective on what was happening beyond what human beings normally see.

From that vantage point, Gabe claims he witnessed demonic forces moving through the world, stirring confusion, suffering, and chaos on Earth. Yet the vision was not entirely one of darkness. Alongside what he perceived as spiritual conflict, he also saw something he describes as beautiful and powerful: luminous bridges of prayer.

According to his account, these bridges were created by the prayers of people who loved him.

He remembers seeing prayers rising from his parents, his friends, and a woman named Ginger. Rather than disappearing into nothingness, he says those prayers seemed to travel toward Christ, eventually converging in what he perceived as the heart of Jesus.

For Gabe, this became evidence that the prayers of the people around him had meaning even when he was unconscious and unable to know that anyone was praying.

The image of those prayers became one of the most important parts of his story.

He had been physically separated from the people who loved him. He could not hear their voices or see their faces in the ordinary sense. Yet, in the experience he describes, he believed their prayers were reaching him in a completely different way.

That realization gave the experience an intensely personal dimension.

It was not only about what Gabe believed he saw in heaven. It was also about the people who remained connected to him while he was unable to respond.

According to Gabe, his experience eventually became more than a vision of another realm. He believes he was given a purpose for returning.

He says he received a commission: to tell people who Jesus really is.

The message, as Gabe understands it, was not simply a request to share an interesting story about what happened to him. He believes he was sent back with a responsibility—to speak about his experience, to encourage people to take faith seriously, and to tell others what he believes he learned about Christ.

He also says the message included a warning and a promise: that Jesus is coming back soon.

That belief became central to the meaning Gabe assigned to his experience. Returning to life was therefore not, in his understanding, simply an accident or an unexplained medical event. He came to see it as a second opportunity and a responsibility.

For eighteen days, however, he remained unable to open his eyes.

While the people around him waited, hoped, and prayed, Gabe remained physically unconscious. Eighteen days can feel like an eternity to a family waiting beside a hospital bed, especially when no one can know with certainty what the future will bring.

Then, finally, his eyes opened.

The moment marked a dramatic return to the physical world after an experience he describes as being completely outside it.

For the people who loved him, his awakening must have carried its own overwhelming mixture of relief, emotion, and disbelief. For Gabe himself, waking up meant returning from an experience that had fundamentally changed his understanding of existence.

Whether someone interprets his account as a genuine spiritual encounter, a profound near-death experience, or something that cannot be fully explained, the story remains deeply meaningful to him.

Gabe does not describe the experience simply as something that happened to him.

He describes it as something that gave his life a new purpose.

The images remained with him: Jesus communicating without ordinary words, creation proclaiming that the Lamb is worthy, darkness moving through the world, and streams of prayer rising from the people who refused to give up on him.

Most importantly, he remembers being sent back.

After eighteen days, he opened his eyes.

And from that moment forward, he believed he was no longer living simply for himself. He believed he had returned with a message—a message about Christ, about the power of prayer, and about what he believes lies beyond this life.

For Gabe, the experience was not an ending.

It was a beginning.
